Campus Crusade for Christ - The Campus Ministry

What is a Campus Ministry Internship?

Whether you are stateside or overseas, you will spend a year helping to fulfill the Great Commission. Use your gifts, abilities, and even professional skills to reach students for Christ.

As an Intern you will:

  1. Receive training in the context of a team
  2. Acquire skills to help you continue to minister in the marketplace
  3. Gain time to decide if God may be leading you to full-time ministry
  4. Make an eternal difference in the lives of students

Salary

Every Ministry Intern has the privilege of developing a team of ministry partners who will pray and give financially to help the internship happen.  The salary of a U.S. intern after taxes is approximately $1,250 per month depending on your area’s cost of living. This includes approximately $400 for housing/rent costs. In addition, the intern must raise support for Social Security and federal taxes, health insurance, ministry expenses, and overhead. So the total is approximately $3,000/month (2010-2011). This will be more if conferences, summer projects, or any other predetermined costs are added. For interns requesting an overseas assignment (STINT), the monthly amount will vary according to location. Overseas interns will also raise a one-time amount to cover airfare and other special expenses. The grand total of all support that needs to be raised is about $28,000-$45,000 for the year.

Will I receive any training on how to raise support?

Yes. After you apply and are accepted, you will be expected to attend a weekend training (Intern Kickoff Weekend) held in your region, usually sometime during the month of April.
